By-Laws Not My Laws

Welcome to the neighborhood! Here's your binder of HOA by-laws to comply with! Come home from work to a mess of a yard and an eagle-eyed HOA president who wants to fine you for every infraction. Control the chaos of your backyard using a variety of garden tools before the HOA president shows up at 10 PM to fine you. Leave work early to have more time to clean up your yard or work overtime to earn money faster to purchase better tools. Dream of the day you can be free of the HOA.

Controls are mouse only (left click for most interactions, right click to rotate the lawn mower and snowblower region of effect). Pressing escape will close menus and will bring up the settings menu.

By-Laws Not My Laws was developed in 9 days for Godot Wild Jam 80 with the theme Controlled Chaos. All assets except for some sound effects were created by me for this game jam. No generative AI was used.

Post jam updates:
